March 16th is unofficial Stone Cold Steve Austin Day for any fan of the Attitude era. Yesterday we brought you the promo in which Austin 3:16 was born. Austin’s faux biblical mantra was only one part of his unparalleled superstardom in the late 90s. From his ‘and that’s the bottom line…’ signature sign off to his epic feud with Vince, it was hard to get enough of Austin. Most Monday Nights would start and end with Austin in the ring, but the night wasn’t complete until the Texas Rattlesnake would kick someone in the gut, flip ’em off and deliver the Stone Cold Stunner. The Story
The Stone Cold Stunner is the best finisher in the history of pro wrestling. Feel free to differ, but understand my logic here: everyone can execute a stunner and the risk of injury is minimal. Whether you’re wrestling with your dad, your friends or your little brother, the Stunner was possible. So yes, I love the Tombstone piledriver but the chances of breaking someone’s neck is too great. Sweet Chin Music is awesome but the older you get, the harder it is to get your leg that high. I could go on and on explaining why each move is cool yet dangerous, but the Stunner is the best finisher in pro wrestling and that’s the bottom line…

The Conclusion
