Two weeks ago, Sheamus became the #1 contender to Randy Orton’s World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Mark Henry & Christian in a triple threat match. Last week, when the Celtic Warrior cashed in on his title opportunity, he appeared to have the title won but was screwed by the guest referee, Christian. Sheamus certainly has a gripe that he should be Champion today, and he looks to prove that once and for all tonight. The main event of this evening’s Smackdown will pit Sheamus against Randy Orton, and the match will be contested under a no disqualification stipulation.
Also on tonight’s Smackdown will be a 6-man tag team match that will see Ezekiel Jackson partner with Jimmy & Jey Uso to take on Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, & Heath Slater of The Corre. Ted DiBiase is set to take on the masked sensation Sin Cara, and Jinder Mahal will be in action against Trent Barreta. Lastly, after two weeks of meeting in tag team competition, Tamina and NXT’s AJ will go one-on-one.
