See ya!

Less than a month ago, TNA hosted a “night of reveals” on an episode of Impact.  During the show, Mick Foley was unveiled as the Network’s inside man, while Chyna made her TNA debut as Kurt Angle’s mistress.  Today, it looks as though we’ve already seen the last of both newcomers on Impact Wrestling.

Chyna is leaving the company to pursue a career in the adult film industry.  She’s already had one film, Backdoor to Chyna, released since showing up on Impact three weeks ago.  Gross.  Meanwhile, Foley’s reason for leaving TNA seems to have more to do with problems between he and the company.  He’s made it clear in the past that he didn’t plan on renewing his contract when it expired this fall, although he’s expected to be granted his release any day now, as per his request.  His problems stem from TNA’s refusal to promote his appearance at Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity last year, as well as from creative differences.  In Foley’s own words, he “pushed hard for changes that he felt would benefit Impact Wrestling,” but was perceived as being difficult to work with.  Since he’s likely been forced to deal directly with Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, and their war on reason, I can understand his frustration.  Last month, Foley hilariously compared working a TNA house show to competing in an “empty arena match.”  With Foley’s departure from the Impact Zone imminent, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him enter the WWE Hall of Fame alongside The Rock next year in Miami.
