On this date in 1999, an event unfolded on Monday Night Raw that would cement itself into the memories of wrestling fans for years to come.  On the last live show before WrestleMania XV, WWE Champion The Rock stood in the ring with Vince & Shane McMahon to discuss The Corporation’s plans.  Their party was crashed, however, when they heard that unmistakable glass shatter.  What followed was one of the most memorable moments in the history of Raw.

I’m sure you all are well aware of it already, but I cannot stress enough how important these five minutes were.  They defined Stone Cold Steve Austin, Monday Night Raw, The Rock as Corporate Champion, and the Attitude Era as a whole.  Moreover, they gave everyone watching a show they’d never forget.  Highlights of Austin’s beer truck have found their way into every “best of” video that the WWE has produced in the decade since it happened, and for good reason.  This is to the 90s what Hogan bodyslamming Andre was to the decade prior.  It’s one of the greatest moments in the WWE history, and that’s the bottom line ’cause Stone Cold said so!
