Jeff Hardy will get his chance at Mr. Anderson's World Title this Sunday in a ladder match.

This Sunday night, TNA Wrestling presents it’s seventh annual Against All Odds Pay-Per-View.  In a double main event, Jeff Jarrett will be wrestling Kurt Angle, and Mr. Anderson will be defending his World Title in a ladder match against the high flying Jeff Hardy.  Interestingly, at least one of these four men have been featured in the main event of every Against All Odds since the show’s inception.

We’ll have live updates and reactions from the show as it unfolds Sunday night at our twitter page (@ProRasslin), so be sure to make the add for streaming results and commentary.  For those of you who can’t wait until Sunday for your Total Nonstop Action fix, you’ll find a complete match listing, along with predictions, after the jump.

  • Scott Steiner & Beer Money Vs Rob Terry, Gunner, and Murphy – I think this match belongs to the faces.  Steiner and Beer Money are bigger stars than each of their counterparts in this one, and the outcome of this match has virtually no implications, so I imagine TNA will please the crowd early.  The question I have here is why Steiner is leading the good guys and not AJ Styles, who was left off the card.
  • X Division #1 Contenders Match: Robbie E Vs Max Buck Vs Jeremy Buck – Robbie E is a shoe-in for this one, in my opinion.  Whoever the third man to qualify was, I would have picked them in this match, as I don’t see one member of Generation Me getting pushed beyond the other just yet.  Food for thought, kind of odd to have a triple threat match between three heels.
  • Knockouts Championship: Madison Rayne (c) Vs Mickie James – Madison Rayne retains.  There’s really no benefit to switching champions at this juncture.
  • The Pope Vs Samoa Joe – As much as it pains me to say this, Pope should go over in this one.  I don’t think Sunday will mark the end of this feud, and to keep the fire raging, the heel getting a controversal victory is what makes sense here.  When the angle is over, Joe will stand tall, but Sunday will not be his night.
  • Street Fight: Bully Ray Vs Brother Devon w/ his sons – Bully Ray will steal this one.  It’ll be a fun match, and I suspect we’ll see a spot where Devon’s sons hold Ray’s legs to allow Devon to connect with the old “whassssup” head butt.  At the end of the day, though, Bully Ray is the closer thing to a singles star here.
  • Matt Hardy Vs Rob Van Dam – RVD should bury Matt Hardy.  At no point in the careers of these guys has Matt been even remotely on the same level as Van Dam (in any capacity: actual skill, place on the card, crowd reaction), and to have the Hardy Boy go over Mr. Monday Night for seemingly no reason would be a sacrilege.  Matt’s case isn’t helped by his new bloated, dreadlocked appearance.  Van Dam is a no brainer here.
  • Kurt Angle Vs Jeff Jarrett – This would have been more difficult to call, but the added stipulation makes it a little easier to forecast.  If Angle wins, he gains custody of his kids, while if Jarrett wins, Kurt will be forced to walk Karen down the aisle and give her away when she and Jeff renew their vows at the 3/3 episode of Impact.  To me, this spells a victory for Double J.  Angle having his kids back does nothing for upcoming TNA programming, whereas involving him in the Jeff/Karen vow renewal ceremony is a good way to promote Impact.  Jeff will take this one, but he will surely cheat to do so.
  • World Title Ladder Match: Mr. Anderson Vs Jeff Hardy – This is toughest match on the card for me to make a prediction on.  I would assume Anderson the victor, given Hardy’s current legal situation, but recent programming has me believing the seeds are being planted for a Hardy Vs Styles World Title match down the line.  If forced to chose, I’d give the edge to Anderson to retain.  I won’t be shocked, however, if we crown a new Champion on Sunday.

Just a couple issues with the card.  Where is AJ Stlyes?  I’m aware he’s injured, but he’s clearly capable of working in a limited capacity, as he wrestled in a tag match on this week’s Impact.  He easily could have led Beer Money in their six-man tag match.  Also, I feel like after the events of Impact this week, a Matt Morgan Vs Hernandez match should have been added to round out the card.  This being said, I am looking forward to the show.  The unpredictability of the Anderson/Hardy match has me excited, and the X Division #1 Contenders match should be excellent as well.  Any time I get to see The Young Bucks Generation Me compete, it’s a good day.
