Disco Inferno’s appearance on last week’s Impact Wrestling had me waxing nostalgic over WCW’s golden age of the mid to late 90s. As a result, I’ve been watching a lot of videos from said era over the past few days. I felt it was appropriate to share this. There was a time during which Disco Inferno insisted that he was a member of the nWo Wolfpac, and as such, he found himself involved in feuds with the Wolfpac’s enemies. One of those enemies (for a short while anyway) was Konnan. The feud that the two engaged in produced this gem.
Later, after WCW’s downturn was already well underway, Disco Inferno became a member of the Filthy Animals, a ghetto-gimmicked stable consisting of former rival Konnan, Rey Mysterio, and Billy Kidman. Disco renamed himself Disqo, an obvious pun on rapper Sisqo, whose “Thong Song” was getting a ton of radio play at the time. Although this tidbit isn’t exactly vital information for enjoying the video above, it is somewhat relevant, and it’s absolutely ridiculous. Disqo’s tenure with the Animals was mercifully short.
