Once upon a time, WWE didn’t have their verbally challenged superstars conduct long, in-ring promos. Rather than exposing their lack of interview skills by letting them stumble through terribly written lines (ala R-Truth & John Morrison fighting over cigarette smoking), they knew to keep their words short and sweet. Such was the case with Ken Shamrock, who despite bringing a certain intensity to the ring, was never quite able to translate it into a promo.
