As I’m sure many of you are aware, Shelton Benjamin worked a dark match before the Smackdown tapings two weeks ago, and it looks like a return to WWE could be possible. If he does return to the ‘E, it’ll be interesting to see if he finally makes the jump into the main event picture. For years, he toiled away in the upper midcard, even earning a few victories over Triple H, but was never able to solidify himself as a bona fide superstar. Whether he remains in Ring of Honor or returns to Connecticut, though, I’m sure of one thing: I’m glad the days of his Gold Standard blond bombshell look are behind him.
