The Urban Wrestling Federation will be hosting their first show tomorrow night in New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The event, titled First Blood, will be broadcast on pay-per-view on Sunday June 26 at 8:00 PM, and it will feature the crowning of the UWF’s inaugural Champion. The title will be awarded to the winner of a fatal four-way match, the participants in which will be determined earlier in the night by a series of singles matches. Eddie Kingston meets Homicide, Facade collides with Bestia 666, Slyck Wagner Brown opposes Ricky Reyes, and Rich Ortiz (best known for his portrayal of the extremely goofy Ricky Ortiz in WWE’s ECW) goes toe-to-toe with Rashe Brown. The winners of those matches will enter the main event with the hopes of walking out the first UWF Champion.
Also booked for the event is a tag team match pitting The SAT (Jose & Joel Maximo) against Lance Lude & Brian XL. A second, non-title 4-way match will be part of the show as well, when Willie Mack takes on Sabian, Famous B, and Scorpio Sky. In addition to the UWF’s debut PPV being filmed tomorrow, the company has also announced the signing of rapper 40 Glocc. This means absolutely nothing to me, but Mr. Glocc is apparently important enough to warrant a press release about his signing, so I figure it’s worth reporting.
The Urban Wrestling Federation has just announced a deal with JSR Merchandising as well, so expect a full line of UWF branded apparel coming in the near future.
