Before ruining his career for the umpteenth time, Jeff Hardy was recreating himself as the Anti-Christ of Professional Wrestling. It’s somewhat ironic that in this promo, conducted not long before his now infamous 88-second match with Sting, Hardy talks about being in control of his own destiny. Turns out, he’s got less control over his life than most. Also kind of weird is the fact that he introduces himself at the vignette’s conclusion, given the fact that he’d already been wrestling in the mainstream for, oh I don’t know, over a decade?
