Tonight’s Impact will be the go-home show for Lockdown, so expect most of the show to be spent hyping this Sunday’s matches. The main event will see Mr. Anderson take on an Immortal gauntlet, the second gauntlet match on nationally broadcast wrestling programming this week. To be fair to TNA, though, their’s was filmed first. Mr. Anderson’s Lockdown opponents, Sting & Rob Van Dam, will not be competing tonight, although both will be in the Impact Zone.
In addition to Anderson tangling with Hogan’s cronies, Impact will also feature on a one-on-one match between Matt Hardy and X Division Champion Kazarian. Three sets of Lockdown opponents will meet in a 6-man tag team match when Jeff Jarrett, The Pope, & Hernandez team up to do battle with Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, & Matt Morgan. A fatal 4-way pitting Douglas Williams against Orlando Jordon, Jesse Neal, and Crimson is also scheduled for the show. Each man will have their partner for this Sunday’s Lockdown in their corner, so in addition to Magnus & Eric Young being at ringside, there will probably be a fair share of Shannon Moore being weird and Scott Steiner yelling incoherently. Rounding out the card will be a singles match between Immortal’s Abyss and Fortune’s James Storm. Impact will also have no shortage of knockouts, as Madison Rayne promises to speak out in regards to her actions from last week and Velvet Sky plans to demand an explanation from Angelina Love for her strange behavior as of late.
