Tonight’s Impact will deal with the fallout from Sunday’s Victory Road, although I’m not sure that the Jeff Hardy situation will be mentioned. Jeff was sent home from the tapings on Monday so we know he won’t be appearing, but the possibility remains that Mike Tenay and Tazz will provide us with a storyline reason for his absence. Jeff Hardy’s recent indiscretions could spell the return of TNA’s traditional world title, and that’s a good thing. If Sting appears with a gold belt on tonight’s show instead of that Hardy-designed purple strap, I’ll be one happy camper.
Rob Van Dam & Mr. Anderson wrestled to a double countout on Sunday, and as a result, no #1 contender was crowned. TNA looks to atone for this tonight when Impact hosts a fatal 4-way match for the #1 contendership to the World Title. Victory Road opponents RVD and Mr. Anderson will once again be part of the match, this time being joined by AJ Styles and Bully Ray. There will be a 6-person street fight that will pit Hernandez, Sarita, & Rosita against Matt Morgan, Angelina Love, & Winter. Madison Rayne will be on tonight’s show to issue another open challenge to any woman in the Impact Zone, and Jeff Jarrett intends to offer a truce to his longtime rival Kurt Angle. Lastly, the Television Title will be returning at tonight’s show. The vacant championship will be determined in a triple threat match between Immortal’s Gunner, Murphy, and Rob Terry.
