One seriously bad S.O.B.

Over the course of this weekend, you voted on the last four first round matches in our Champion of Champions Tournament, meant to crown the best WWE Champion of the past decade.  The results are in.

Stone Cold Steve Austin advanced from the Sweet 16 to the Elite 8 in dominating fashion.  He commanded an astounding 94 votes out of 100 total, easily knocking JBL out of the equation.  In what could be a foreshadowing of WrestleMania 27, Triple H was able to topple the Undertaker, garnering exactly 60% of the vote.  Shawn Michaels dashed John Cena’s chances at winning this tournament in what I have to consider an upset.  The Heartbreak Kid defeated the Chain Gang Commander by a margin of 11 votes.  In this weekend’s closest match, Chris Jericho eliminated Brock Lesnar, scoring just over 54% of the vote.

So, it’ll be Stone Cold, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho advancing to the next round.  They’ll join The Rock, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, and Edge in the Elite 8.  This Friday afternoon, polls will open on all of our quarterfinal matches, and over the weekend you’ll determine who moves on to the Final 4.  As we’ve done in each of the past two weeks, we’ll preview a match you’ll be voting on Friday every day this week.  Below is the updated bracket.  This round looks especially star-studded, so check out our previews each day to inform your decision, and remember to vote this weekend!

Your votes have determined our Elite 8, who will meet in the quarter finals of our Champion of Champions Tournament next weekend.
