Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho will meet in the first round of our Champion of Champions tournament, designed to determine your favorite champion of the past ten years.
Brock Lesnar may have spent more time being the Next Big Thing than he did the actual Big Thing, but he accomplished a lot in his short time at the top. Lesnar is a 3-time former WWE Champion and the winner of the 2002 King of the Ring tournament. He also won the 2003 Royal Rumble, and was victorious in the main event of WrestleMania XIX. His WWE career was cut short by his desire to play professional football, but while he was active, some of his most memorable matches were contested against Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and Bill Goldberg.
Chris Jericho was the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion, beating both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night to win the belt. This was just 1 of 6 reigns that Jericho enjoyed as World Champion. The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla held the Intercontinental Title a record 9 times, and he’s a 5-time Tag Team Champion. His resume also includes runs with the European and Hardcore titles, as well as 2 Slammy Awards. Some of Y2J’s most famous feuds include opponents like Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, and Christian.
Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar were both main eventers in the WWE during the same era, but amazingly, the two have never met inside the squared circle. That being said, the best we can do is speculate how things may have went if they did. Who do you think would have come out on top? Remember to vote this Friday afternoon when the polls open!
