Champion of Champions Tournament Bracket

To the left, you’ll see the top vote-getter from this weekend’s set of polls, Jack Swagger!

Just kidding.  Poor Jack here only received one vote, the fewest of any wrestler included in the qualifying matches.  Congratulations to whoever cast that singular vote for the All American American, you’re sooooo non-conformist.

It was Shawn Michaels who won the contest that Swagger was involved in, commanding 65% of the vote.  The Rock won his grouping, also by a bit of a landslide, with 62% of the vote.  In a closer match, Rob Van Dam bested Jeff Hardy, Booker T, and Chris Benoit, with only 20% separating the top and bottom vote-getters in the foursome.  Finally, Hulk Hogan was barely able to make his way into the sweet sixteen, defeating CM Punk by just 2 votes.  As a CM Punk enthusiast and avid Hulk Hogan detractor, I am personally devastated by this last outcome.

Anyway, now that the votes have been counted, we have the sixteen contenders determined for our Champion of Champions tournament.  At the end of every day this week, we’ll preview one matchup from the tournament.  On Friday, voting will begin on the four matches we preview Monday through Thursday.  We’ll repeat this process next week, then continue on into the later rounds of the tournament.  The whole thing will culminate WrestleMania weekend when the final two combatants will go head to head to crown the best Champion of the past decade.  Below is the full bracket for the tournament, seeded by the number of total days each wrestler spent as Champion.  You’ll probably have to click for the full size image; I imagine it’s going to be pretty distorted on this page.  Thank you very much to everyone who voted this weekend!  We hope for your continued support as the tournament progresses!
